I just fell in love..
I’ve been talking about getting this tattoo for over 2 years. It’s an amalgam of my childhood and adolescence. It’s a piece by James Hence called “A Biped of Very Little Brain” in his “Wookie The Chew” series
This is my tattoo of Jason Vorhees done at True Image Tattoo in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. The artist’s name is Fuz and he does amazing work, as I’ve seen on myself and others.
This tattoo is the the large first step to a half-sleeve of horror and other horror related things.
There are many reasons that I have a large hockey-masked killer on my right shoulder. Since I’ve been young, I’ve been fascinated by horror movies. First scary movie my parents let me rent? Friday the 13th Part One. Because of that Jason had to be the initial step to the larger picture.
I’m, by collegiate standards, a pretty average kid and when most people catch the first glimpse of this tattoo, they’re normally taken aback for a moment. My reasoning to everyone is, “If you’re afraid of a fictional killer, how ever will you face the real horrors of life itself.”
As my sleeve progresses, hopefully it’ll earn some spots on this site.
This is the tattoo my cousin just got in Auburn, Alabama. He has been through some really tough times and he said the music has gotten him through. I know it sounds cliche, but being a music major, I completely understand how he feels. Music is in our DNA. Our whole family stresses the importance of music in our lives, so I think this piece is perfect for him. He plans on majoring in business and music management when he goes to school next year. I am so proud of him for coming out of his dark times and realizing that life is too precious to waste. I love you, Ty.
my first tattoo [hopefully not my last]
its a tribute to my little brother. when i was 9 and he was 5 he was diagnosed with leukemia in his left hip joint. he struggled with it for a few months but he couldnt handle the chemotherapy. the day he died i went outside to cry and found a little grey feather. ive had it in a picture frame with his picture ever sense.ive had such depression problems with his death, but seeing this everyday reminds me hes still here, just not like you and i are here.
